Blossom LGBT began in 2019 and passionate volunteers started it determined to transform how young LGBTQIA+ people connect and support each other. What began in living rooms quickly grew into a nationwide movement, creating supportive spaces where LGBTQIA+ young adults could truly thrive. Today, Blossom LGBT is a leading community-led organisation across the United Kingdom, known for its progressive and forward-thinking approach to LGBTQIA+ advocacy.
Our mission remains steadfast: to empower LGBTQIA+ young adults by providing the support they need to flourish in their careers and personal lives. Before joining Blossom LGBT, many of our members felt isolated and directionless. Through our uplifting approach, we help them blossom into confident, authentic individuals, equipped to navigate barriers and build meaningful, stable careers.
The E&U scheme is designed to equip queer youth with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to thrive in any career path they choose.
We are seeking workshops that explore a wide range of career paths and skill sets relevant to queer youth.
We are excited to invite proposals for workshop delivery as part of our 2025 programme aimed at empowering queer youth (ages 16-30) with the skills and
tools necessary for personal and professional growth.
The job market has historically neglected queer and trans individuals, but we refuse to neglect ourselves.
This programme is designed to equip queer youth with the essential skills needed to thrive in any career they choose.
Send an enquiry across to our team about this training package, or learn about our other packages, by filling in this short form and uploading a proposal document. However, if you are having issues with uploading you can always send an email to us at Employability@blossom.lgbt
These workshops are ideal for teaching hands-on skills or activities that require physical presence and interaction. This might include anything from hands-on creative arts, and practical career skills like woodworking or fashion design, to activities that involve physical presence such as cooking classes, mixology, and candle-making.
Webinars are suited for skills that are more cognitive or knowledge-based, where physical presence isn’t necessary. Examples include accounting, financial literacy, CV writing, interview preparation, mental health strategies, and meditation techniques at the workplace.
Our workshops are targeted at queer youth aged 16-30, providing them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to pursue their career goals despite the barriers they may face.
Your workshop should address a career path, skill, or area of professional development that is of interest to queer youth.
Ensure that your content is inclusive and affirming of all identities within the queer community, and sensitive to the unique challenges faced by queer and trans individuals in the job market.
Your proposed method of delivery should be interactive and engaging, fostering a supportive learning environment.
Please send your submission to employability@blossom.lgbt with the subject line “E&U Proposal”
We look forward to receiving your proposal and working together to create a brighter future for queer youth.
