Ready to make new friends and maybe find a new hobby?! Our Sober spaces project focuses on providing you with meaningful connections & activities. We welcome LGBTQ+ young adults aged 18 to 25 (30 with additional needs). Our goal is to help you feel part of a powerful community and to support you to build long lasting friendships through ongoing connections with like minded people. We also focus on upskilling the community and our members with practical and useful life skills that they’ll use for all of their adult life such as budgeting, coping mechanisms, and public speaking.
You can treat our spaces like you’re just popping into a local cafe (but gayer) – just come and chill! Fancy reading a book, listening to some music, or just watching tiktoks? Then do!
Your first time in a new space can always be a little bit nerve wracking, but we’ve done everything we can to make a kind and inviting space. We worked with local youth workers, not for profits, and more to create a truly positive space that caters for everyones needs whilst also not making you feel like you the staff we provide are anything but here to keep the space a safe one!
Each week we offer tonnes of card games for you to use!
We have a mini library of queer books.
We provide sensory & fidget toys for our members to use throughout the evening.
From time to time we'll host activities like cooking, art, and movie nights!
We'll welcome along a number of special guests to share their experiences.
We provide free tea & coffee along with a cheap tuck shop!
